Hong Kong Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corp. 50 Dollars 1.1.1901 Pick 152s KNB40S Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. An extremely rare type note, seldom seen in any form, this example is quite desirable. Bearing the only date for this design, this Specimen note is especially desirable as this denomination was omitted from the subsequent series of 1904-1907 dated banknotes. Cancelled in red and perforated tastefully, this Specimen has an unusually nice eye appeal. Staple holes are mentioned for accuracy, but do little to detract from the overall impression. This is the first we have offered, and one of only two examples graded in the PMG Population Report.
