An incredible banknote, unobtainable in issued form and therefore eminently desirable as a Specimen. This beautiful type, designed and printed by Waterlow & Sons, was the highest denomination of the series, and carried enormous buying power during its time in circulation. According to HSBC records, all 1925 dated banknotes have been redeemed. At the time of cataloging, this beautiful Specimen is the second finest graded in the PMG Population Report. This example is the first we have offered and widely sought after as such. Customary overprints and hole punched cancellations are seen.
