A well preserved, grand sized Color Trial Specimen, this note is from the first series featuring a portrait of Sir Thomas Jackson, the third General Manager of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, who was instrumental in the development of the colony's economy during its early years. Printer's annotations, two POCs, and Specimen overprints are seen on this example, devoid of signatures and date.
