A handsome pair of prototypes for the first series of redesigned 100 Dollar notes for HSBC printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company, these are rarely encountered in this format. Deep red inking is seen on each uniface proof. Notice that these proofs are lacking the final printing details, including serial numbers, signatures, and dates, as well as some underlying color schemes. Only red ink is seen. Both uniface trials are previously mounted, which is to be expected. Natural embossing is clearly seen on the blank backing.
