Hong Kong Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation 500 Dollars ND (1973-76) Pick 186pp1 (2); 186pp2 KNB75 Front and Back Progressive Proofs PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ (2); Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. An interesting group of uniface prototypes prepared by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company for HSBC, this was highest denomination banknote at the time. EPQ status is seen on each Proof, which illustrate different stages in the printing process. Each example features a printer typed notation with the date "13.6.1974", which most likely indicates that these prototypes were being prepared for the 1975 dated banknotes.
