India Reserve Bank of India, Bombay 1000 Rupees ND (1937) Pick 21a Jhunjhunwalla-Razack 4.8.1A PMG Very Fine 25. Although the second highest denomination of the series, it is essentially the highest denomination available, as the 10,000 Rupees is exceedingly rare. This large format note was equivalent to approximately $330 USD at the time, which lead most to be redeemed and few saved for posterity. Typical spindle holes and ink stamps are seen on this Very Fine example. https://currency.ha.com/itm/world-currency/india-reserve-bank-of-india-bombay-1000-rupees-nd-1937-pick-21a-jhunjhunwalla-razack-481a-pmg-very-fine-25/a/4023-28162.s?type=CoinArchivesCurrency4023 HID08706262019 © 2020 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
