Japan Bank of Japan 20 Yen ND (1917) Pick 37s Specimen PMG Choice About Unc 58 EPQ. At the time of cataloging, this Specimen is the single finest graded of only seven examples in the PMG Population Report. This denomination was convertible to gold and is therefore seldom seen today. A red overprint at front and a perforated cancellation are carefully placed around the portrait of 9th century poet Sugawara no Michizane. Fresh, original, and very rare.
