Malaya Board of Commissioners of Currency 100 Dollars 1.1.1942 (ND 1945) Pick 15 KNB15a PMG Very Fine 30 Net. An always popular high denomination, this large format banknote features King George VI. Equivalent to approximately 10 Pounds at the time, this type had significant buying power which resulted in few of these notes being saved for posterity. Minor rust, mostly from some paper clip dents, is seen on the back of this otherwise pretty example. Although dated 1942, the outbreak of World War II and defeat of the British in Malaya delayed the introduction of this banknote until the September of 1945.
