World Currency
Malaya Board of Commissioners of Currency 10 Cents 15.8.1940 Pick 2 KNB1a PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. As silver prices escalated and fewer coins were minted with precious metals, hoarding began across the world. This forced the need for paper currency in small denominations. This 10 cent note was printed in Kuala Lumpur to ease transactions in the British Colony before and during World War II. As such, this type is seldom seen in Uncirculated grade today. https://currency.ha.com/itm/world-currency/malaya-board-of-commissioners-of-currency-10-cents-1581940-pick-2-knb1a-pmg-choice-uncirculated-64/a/4023-28347.s?type=CoinArchivesCurrency4023 HID08706262019 © 2020 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
