SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos I Nikator. 312-281 BC. Electrotype "Tetradrachm" (27mm, 14.11 g, 7h). British Museum electrotype by Robert Ready (marked RR on edge). Head of hero (Alexander or Seleukos?) right, wearing helmet covered with panther skin and adorned with the ear and horns of a bull / Nike standing right, holding wreath that she places on trophy to right; monogram to lower left, ΔI in lower middle field. Cf. Head, Guide, Period IV.A, 14; cf. GPCG pl. 27, 11 = BM no. 1850,0412.16 (for prototype). Toned. As made.
