SNG Cop-295; SNG ANS-682. Eukleidos Type. Head of Arethusa left with flowing hair bound with headband, three dolphins before, one dolphin behind (mostly off planchet); Reverse: Quadriga driving left, Nike above crowning driver, dolphin in exergue. Reverse stained and struck on a slightly small planchet, nevertheless the four full spirited horses and delicate flowing hair of the portrait displays the impressive artistry during this period of Syracusian minting.VERY FINE.
