EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.20 g), Ptolemais mint (Ake), Phoenicia, issued year 36 = 250-249 B.C., obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, with aegis, dotted border, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front **P*/ME monogram, and ****LS/Q*, around **PTOLEMAIOU SWTHROSO*, (S.7774, Lorber 654, Sv.782, SNG Cop. 475). Grey patination, nearly extremely fine and rare.
