Ralph Larsen made application for the Africa Star but was advised that qualification required service west of the Suez and his service in Palestine did not qualify. He was also advised that his previously issued campaign stars were unnamed and he should return them if he wanted them named. Obviously he did not do this as the stars in his group are unnamed.
