Italy
Emilia. Vittorio Emanuele II 5 Lire 1860-B MS62 NGC, Bologna mint, KM13, Pag-433, MIR-1063b (R2). Only a two-year type produced in northern Italy just on the eve of the unification of the country, around the same time that the first coins were struck in Tuscany naming Vittorio Emanuele 'Re Eletto' (king-elect). Likely one of the most difficult 5 Lire of this period, this flashy specimen is only the second we have had the privilege to offer, and is apparently one of only 2 certified in Mint State, most known examples coming heavily circulated.
