Maximilian gold 20 Pesos 1866-Mo MS64 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM389, Fr-62. A type which seldom comes meaningfully finer--a fact reinforced by just one MS66, and no MS65s, in the NGC census--and of great conditional rarity so near to gem, featuring a nearly Prooflike glow to the surfaces. This is only the second MS64-graded specimen we have offered, with the last bringing $14,100 in our September 2014 Long Beach Sale.
