An always well-sought and relatively early date for the type, that greatly increases in overall scarcity as it approaches Mint State. While mildly off-center in strike, this piece possesses superb die polish in the obverse fields, a light stippling to those of the reverse perhaps suggesting a brief period of saltwater exposure, which nonetheless has done nothing to diminish the coin's visual appeal.
