Stanislaus Augustus Taler 1788-EB MS63 PCGS, Warsaw mint, KM212, Dav-1621, Parchimowicz/Brzezinski-35a. An inspiring representative of this 18th-century taler type that seems leaps and bounds above what is typically found for the one-year issue, which saw only 31,000 examples struck in total. The surfaces retain their argent mint brilliance, their mint freshness punctuated only by touches of graphite which decorate the legends and outer registers. The single finest example seen by either grading major service.
