ÞAONANOÞAO KA-N-HÞKO KOÞANO, Kanishka III standing facing, diademed nimbate head left, wearing jeweled conical hat, flames on right shoulder, in full armor of long sleeved, knee-length tunic of plate mail with slightly arched hemline, coils covering arms, trousers and high boots, sword in scabbard on left hip, trident in left hand, sacrificing over altar with right hand to left; filleted trident with double crossbar to left, ga (Brahmi) to right of altar, gho (Brahmi) between feet, hu (Brahmi) in right field / OhÞO, ithyphallic Siva standing facing, nimbate with topknot and hair curling over shoulders, bare to waist, wearing ankle-length dhoti with symmetrical folds, garland or diadem in right hand, trident in left; the bull Nandi behind standing left, tamgha to upper left. ANS Kushan 1643-4. Note - the holder lists this coin as Mitchener 3501 for Kanishka II in error.
