Ancients
Galerius, as Augustus (AD 305-311). AR argenteus (19mm, 3.29 gm, 12h). NGC AU 5/5 - 3/5. Alexandria, 3rd officina, after 1 May AD 305. MAXIMI-ANVS AVG, laureate head of Galerius right / CONCOR-DIA AVGG, Alexandria or Tyche standing facing, turreted and veiled head left, head of Serapis wearing polos in right hand, scepter in left; Γ in right field, ALE in exergue. RIC VI -. Unpublished in the standard references and apparently unique.

Ex A.W. Collection (Classical Numismatic Group, Auction 105, 10 May 2017), lot 964; Numismatica Ars Classica 59 (4 April 2011), lot 1158

Note - RIC VI does not list any silver issues for Alexandria after ca. AD 296. Clearly the mint did continue silver coinage production, since Galerius is augustus on this coin.
