A difficult one-year type, very scarcely found in any condition, let alone in the superb state of the present piece, boasting the coveted Prooflike designation. Every detail remains remarkably crisp and sharp, each curl of the hair and the line of the shield standing out in stark contrast to the watery, deeply mirrored fields behind. An array of shallow adjustment marks appear on the upper right-hand portion of the reverse coat of arms, but do not detract from the overall appeal. Sure to attract much attention from collectors of rare Thalers and Crown-sized types.
