British Colony. George III Proof Penny 1807 PR63 Brown PCGS, Soho mint, KM1, Prid-3. Engrailed edge. Proposed to be a 'restrike' from the original 1806 reverse die, this incredible scarce Proof is one of a mere 4 examples that we have been able to locate coming to auction in the last decade. While the original Diana Collection lot description describing perhaps 5 known may have been a little low, we note that the actual figure may be only slightly larger, with the offering appearing nicer than either the Rudman or Roehrs examples.
