Philip V gold Cob 2 Escudos 1743-M AU55 NGC, Nuevo Reino mint, KM17.2, Fr-8. 6.74gm. Quite a nice example of this difficult hammered Cob series, and especially scarce with a legible date on the flan. Considerable luster remaining, with a touch of light reddish tone settling over the fields. Mintmark mistakenly noted as "F-S" on NGC label.
