Republic gold 5 Pesos 1864-M VF Details (Cleaned) NGC, Medellin mint, KM148 (Rare), Restrepo-328 (Very Rare). Type with COLOMBIA and large stars on obverse. A notoriously low grade and extremely rare one-year type which only saw 8,035 pieces struck. Listed without price in both the Standard Catalog of World Coins and Restrepo, and missing from both the Norweb and Hammel collections, we note that the Sedwick collection specimen graded only an XF Details, and the Eliasberg piece XF45.
