Republic silver Souvenir Peso 1897 MS65+ PCGS, Gorham mint, KM-XM1. Wide Date variety, with "PAT9 7" on truncation of neck and the right obverse star above baseline of the "7". From a reported mintage of a mere 828 pieces, and found here in exceptional condition for the type. Some light striking weakness in the central areas due to the high relief of the dies, as typical, but undeniably superb besides, satiny surfaces tinged with gentle multi-colored hues.
