Charles VI gold Agnel d'Or ND (1380-1422) MS63 NGC, Montpellier mint (annulet beneath 4th letter), Fr-290, Dup-372. 2.57gm. +AGn': DЄI: QVI TOLL: PЄCAT: mVDI: mISЄ: nOBIS (double annulet stops), Agnus Dei left, head right, before a standard with banner; KF | RX in exergue / +XPC ★ VIHCIT ★ XPC ★ RЄGHAT ★ XPC ★ IMPЄRAT, cross fleurée with rosette in quadrilobe; lis in angels and spandrels. 1st emission (from 10 May 1417). Only the second Agnel d'Or of Charles VI we have offered from this mint, and by far an outlier within this hammered series, the coinage of this design, though beautifully engraved, frequently coming bent and unevenly struck. As such, a choice specimen comes as a great rarity.
