Louis XV Ecu 1771-S VF25 NGC, Reims mint, KM-Unl., cf. Dav-1332 (for type), Sobin-Unl., Gad-Unl. The sole example of this mint-date combination we have been able to locate, notably missing from the Sobin collection, which included a sizeable number of previously unpublished dates from this mint. Well-expressed throughout the design for its rather low grade, and seemingly of the highest rarity.
