Bavaria. Ludwig I gold Ducat 1835 MS62 NGC, KM737.2, Fr-270b. An elusive one-year type with a mintage of only 2,048 pieces, the first we have seen and the only example graded in Mint State by either PCGS or NGC. Lightly Prooflike and abounding with fresh mint luster, a light flurry of hairlines in the obverse fields accounting for the grade, but vindicated by the admirably clean surfaces of the reverse.
