Edward III (1327-1377) gold Noble ND (1356-1361) UNC Details (Edge Filing) NGC, Tower mint, Cross 3 mm, Pre-Treaty period, S-1490, N-1182. 7.61gm. Minted on a rather even, un-wrinkled flan that shows a lightly muted luster and all of the integral details intact. Despite the noted edge filing on the holder, this is a largely common feature for the issue, and served as a contemporary method of adjusting the weight post-striking.
