Republic gold Proof Pattern Restrike 100 Pengo 1929-BP (1966) PR67 NGC, Budapest mint, Husz-2304. An absolute gem, this official restrike displays the pictorial image of St. Ladislav on horseback with angels supporting a crown above the Hungarian shield. Full of flash across the rose-hued planchet, with lightly frosted designs that sit in stark contrast to the low-lying mirrors. Per the Unusual World Coins Catalog, this gold restrike is part of the 1966 Commercial Series that was "struck especially for a U.S. numismatic firm located in Ohio using pattern designs with additional U.P. (utanvert probaveret) letters."
