We note that this is not the 1744/2 overdate as listed in the Standard Catalog of World Coins, but rather the 1744/3 as noted in Calico, the "3" being clearly visible underneath the final digit. Scarce as such, and available here in an admirable state of preservation, lightly lustrous with a hint of orange color.
