Bust of Charles III right / Standing draped figure of Diana with head to left and several proclamation medals falling from raised right hand, left hand holding ouroboros encircling flag upon spear, mountain in background. Commemorating the Proclamation of Charles III, King of Spain and the Indies, at San Miguel on April 19, 1761. Very rare, with only four or five examples known to the cataloguer. Lustrous and boldly struck, with a slight weakness to the higher points of the curls, as typical. An exciting opportunity for the collector of Mexican Proclamation medals.
