Alfonso XIII Peseta 1889(89) MP-M MS64 NGC, Madrid mint, KM691, Cay-17608. The far rarer of just two dates for this 'baby head' type, with only around a 1/6 of the mintage of the subsequent 1891 issue, and even more exquisite in this near gem grade--presently the single finest across NGC and PCGS by 2 grade points. Lavishly struck from highly polished dies with effortless cartwheel luster and light iridescent tone, and by far the finest we have seen.
