Obverse: Jugate diademed busts of Ptolemy II, draped, and Arsinoe II, veiled, right; AΔEΛΦΩN above, shield to left; Reverse: Jugate diademed busts of Ptolemy I, draped, and Berenike I, veiled, right; ΘEΩN above. Though exhibiting some light edge marks likely emanating from prior use in jewelry, this piece nevertheless offers great surface quality and a solid, well centered strike. An exceptional dynastic type featuring Ptolemy II with his sister-wife, Arsinoe II, and their parents, Ptolemy I and Berenike I.
