POSTUMUS, A.D. 259-268. AE Sestertius (21.01 gms), Treveri Mint, A.D. 261. NGC Ch VF, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 5/5.
RIC-170. Obverse: Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right; Reverse: Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm frond; to left, bound captive seated left. A type that is always encountered with highly stylized dies and poor flan manufacture, this particular example features a well centered strike from dies of fine style, as well as quite a round-shaped flan. Even green-brown surfaces simply add further allure.
