RIC-237; Depeyrot-79/1. Obverse: D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG, diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear and shield decorated with horseman motif; Reverse: SALVS REIPVBLICAE, Theodosius II and Valentinian III seated facing on double throne, each holding mappa and cruciform scepter; star above; S//CONOB. Quite lustrous and sharply struck, this brilliant, Mint State specimen features a good deal of radiating eye appeal.
