AUSTRIA. 1/2 Taler, 1839-A. Vienna Mint. Ferdinand I. PCGS MS-64 Prooflike Gold Shield.
KM-2225. A vastly superior example than normally encountered, the present piece exhibits hard richly toned Prooflike fields and frosty devices. The intricate design elements are crisp with blocked off well defined letters indicating being struck several times. The surfaces are somewhat subdued by mottled rich gray patina with iridescent highlights, but retains much flash and brilliance. A very attractive survivor worthy of serious consideration from the specialist.
