FRANCE. Copper-Nickel 20 Francs Essai (Pattern), 1939. PCGS SPECIMEN-65 Gold Shield.
KM-E72; Gad-852; GEM-200.12. Edge variety with 161 reeds (Tranche 161 cannelures). An attractively toned Gem with a needle sharp strike as would be expected being a Paris mint product displaying lovely mottled iridescent patina on both sides. The brilliance of the flashy surfaces is somewhat subdued, but retains much reflectivity. A highly attractive representative of the type certain to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
Estimate: $1400.00- $1800.00
