GERMANY. Saxe-Meiningen. 5 Mark, 1901-D. Munich Mint. Georg II. NGC MS-65.
Dav-840; KM-197. Mintage: 20,000. The single finest certified on the NGC population report. Struck to commemorate the 75th birthday of Duke Georg II. A sharply struck survivor with smooth satiny surfaces, frosty devices and nice cartwheel luster. The coin remains nearly free of tone with the exception of light mottled patina primarily isolated to the rims. A very attractive representative of type tough to locate in this state of preservation sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
Estimate: $900.00- $1200.00
