GREAT BRITAIN. Charles I Scottish Coronation at St. Giles's Gold Medal, 1633. PCGS Genuine--Damage, EF Details Gold Shield.

Obverse: CAROLVS D G SCOTIAE ANGLIAE FR ET HIB REX, crowned and draped bust left, wearing elaborate collar; Reverse: HINC NOSTRAE CREVERE ROSAE, thistle; in exergue in two lines, CORON 18 IVNII / 1633 B. A VERY RARE type in gold, this charming Briot issue, struck for the Scottish coronation of Charles, does exhibit some scattered marks and minor roughness, but is still one of the best examples of the type which one can possibly expect to encounter.
