Obverse: VICTORIA D G BRITANNIARUM REGINA F D, diademed head left; Reverse: ERIMUS TIBI NOBILE REGUM, Victoria seated left on throne, holding scepter and orb, and receiving crown from Britannia, Hibernia, and Scotia standing to left; to far right, lion standing facing, with forepaw resting upon thunderbolt; in three lines in exergue, INAUGURATA / DIE JUNII XXVIII / MDCCCXXXVIII. An alluring and brilliant specimen, this example does exhibit some typical hairlines in the fields, while a light scratch at 9h on the reverse is also noted.
