GREAT BRITAIN. Great Britain - Guatemala. Dollar, ND (1797). George III. PCGS VF-30 Gold Shield; Countermark: XF Details.
S-3765a; KM-629. Type 1 oval countermark applied to a 1795/4-M Guatemalan Bust 8 Reales of Charles IIII (IV). A VERY RARE host coin for this series with few example appearing on the market. A handsome moderately worn example, displaying nice even wear with minor abrasions and marks that one would normally associate with this grade level. Light grey tone complemented by slate patina in the protected areas and crevasses adds to the appeal of the highly sought after host coin and countermark combination. A neat survivor certain to see spirited bidding from advanced collectors. To view all items from the BKingdom Collection, Click here.
