BHM-4451. Weight: 35.24 gms. Mintage: 25. By. P. Vincze. Obverse: Diademed bust of Elizabeth right, "QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND" around; Reverse: Kneeling female waters growing rose, shamrock and thistle, "JUNE 2ND / 1953" to her left and "COMMEMORATING THE CORONATION" around; Edge: hallmarked No. 9 PV (head) R (crown) 18. A stunning medal, produced with fine satiny surfaces and now showcasing rich reddish-orange tone over much of the surfaces. A few minor instances of handling determine the grade, but overall the appearance is that of a much higher grade. Sold with the original box of issue.
