NORWAY. Order of St. Olaf I Class Commander's Breast Star. Instituted 1847 (Type 2 1905-1937). EXTREMELY FINE.
Barac-89; Werlich-983; Vernon-21. Diameter: 74 mm. Eight-pointed faceted silver cross, each point ball-tipped, with a crowned letter O between each pair of arms. A central gold-rimmed red enamel medallion depicts a crowned Norwegian lion. The reverse bears a single hinged tunic pin, and is blank except for the oval maker's medallion inscribed I. TOSTRUP / KRISTIANIA.
