Applied to the center of a 1801-MoFT Mexico Bust 8 Reales of Charles IIII (IV). The countermark is boldly applied, though slightly uneven, with clear definition of the details. A handsome example from this popular series displaying medium grey tone combined with mild slate patina amongst the devices.
