AUGUSTUS, 27 B.C.- A.D. 14. Asia Minor, Uncertain mint. AE "Sestertius" (34mm), ca. 25 B.C. NGC EF.
RIC-501; RPC-1, 2233. Obverse: Bare head right; Reverse: Large C A within wreath. An issue that remains uncertain in terms of its mint location and actual denomination, this large bronze is certainly in the range of imperial sestertii and emanates from Asia Minor with respect to its find spots. This particular example presents a great portrait of Augustus, with deep blackish-green surfaces and some minor roughness.
Estimate: $400.00- $600.00
