CARACALLA, A.D. 198-217. Sextet of Silver Denarii (6 Pieces). Grade Range: EXTREMELY FINE to MINT STATE.
A tremendous offering, this lot spans the entirety of Caracalla's life on coins--from his boyhood Caesar issues, to young adult as Augustus with Septimius Severus, all the way to successor to his father fully as an adult. All feature either attractive light toning and/or a good deal of lustrous brilliance, and would make for an excellent dealer lot with great resale potential. Only two pieces exhibit duplication, leaving the remaining four as different types.
