Crowned 6 countermark within shaped indent (graded VF) on a central plug cut from the obverse of a Spanish colonial 8 Reales of Charles IV of indeterminate mint or date. Countermark well applied and clear, with pleasing rich cobalt toning visible in the recessed areas.
