GREAT BRITAIN. George I Coronation Silver Medal, 1714. London Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-63 Gold Shield.
MI-424/9; Eimer-470. By J. Croker. Obverse: Laureate, draped, and armored bust right; Reverse: George seated right on throne, being crowned by Britannia, holding spear and shield, standing to right. An incredibly choice example, this piece presents gunmetal gray surfaces dominated by a vibrant, colorful palette. Burgundy, champagne, and cobalt all contribute to the eye appeal that is most evident for this first of the Hanoverian kings. To view all items from the Duke of Lansing Collection, click
