ITALY. Sardinia & Kingdom of Italy. Commander's Badge of the Order of the Crown of Italy, Founded 1868. EXTREMELY FINE.
Barac-812; Werlich-739; Vernon-165. Diameter: 50.5mm. Comprised of gilt, gold, and enamels. White enamel convex-ended cross with gold-wire Nodi di Savoia in the angles. Center disc obverse displays full-color Iron Crown of Lombardy, reverse bears the Black Eagle of Savoy on a gold field. One tiny chip to the end of the white enamel arm to the left of the crown, otherwise excellent enamels.
