SWEDEN. General Motors Bronze Medal, 1928. PCGS SPECIMEN-64 Gold Shield.
Weight: 119 gms; Diameter: 71mm. By Herman Neujd. Obverse: Car and viking ship with radiating sun behind, A CAR FOR EVERY PURSE AND PURPOSE around; Reverse: Two standing figures bracketing a factory, GENERAL MOTORS NORDISKA A-B SWEDEN around. Now nearly 100 years old, this SCARCE medal depicts a compelling design that should appeal to the automobile historian. For the grade, the surfaces are incredibly attractive with some red and yellow color intermingled into the bronze.

This medal commemorates the expansion of General Motors into European markets. The Stockholm factory opened in 1923, in the southern Hammarbyhamnen harbor area.

Estimate: $200.00- $400.00
